About Us

Brewed with purpose...

Muleba Coffee exists to reclaim the value of East African coffee by empowering farmers, protecting the land, and sharing ethically sourced, AA-grade specialty coffee with the world.

Named after our founder’s home village in northwestern Tanzania, Muleba represents more than just a place. It stands for heritage, ritual, and the beauty of things done right. We believe great coffee begins with respect — for the soil, the people, and the process.

From the volcanic soils of Kirinyaga to the misty slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, we source high-quality Arabica beans known for their rich flavor and clarity. Our roast is medium — not too light, not too dark — that sweet spot where the coffee’s true personality comes alive. Medium roasts bring out aroma and complexity, and each batch is carefully prepared to express the full character of every bean.

Muleba is made for those who care about what’s in their cup — flavor seekers, home brewers, and storytellers alike. Whether you’re a café looking for beans with soul, building slow rituals into your mornings, or someone abroad longing for a taste of home, Muleba brings you coffee that feels grounded, rich, and ready to brew.

Albert’s Coffee Ethos

I love specialty coffee. In fact, you could say I’m addicted but in a nice way. I won’t die if I skip a cup, but when I do drink it, I want top-quality coffee, something I can smell and savour in every sip.

That kind of coffee isn’t easy to find. Commercial brands just don’t make the cut, and your average café around the corner rarely gets it right. They’re just not my cup of tea—well, coffee.

I enjoy freshly roasted, ground coffee—brewed with care, love, and intention. That’s why, wherever I go, I seek out independent cafes. I even enjoy guiding them on how I like my cup prepared. I usually go for an Americano—black and neat—but feel free to add a bit of milk or sugar if you like; no harm at all!

It’s this passion that led me to join a coffee roasting class—so I could roast and brew my own beans and share that experience with the people I love.

If you’re reading this, you’re one of those people.

Get your hands on our medium-roasted Arabica Muleba coffee. Grind it, brew it, and let me know what you think! Your feedback helps me get better with every batch.

Personally, I love brewing it with a French press or V60. Either way, I promise, it’s the best cup you’ll have.

Right now, I’m sourcing my beans from Kirinyaga, at the foothills of Mt. Kenya—renowned for producing some of the world’s finest and sustainable coffee with a distinct flavour profile. The next batch will come from the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. You can’t go wrong with high-altitude coffee!

Here’s my personal commitment to you: I promise quality, fairness in trade, and ethical sourcing every step of the way.

Thank you very much | Ahsante Sana | Merci Beaucoup

Why AA Specialty Coffee

Zero defect beans

We work directly with farmers across East Africa to source only AA-grade Arabica beans. By prioritizing ethical practices and long-term partnerships, we help uplift farming communities while protecting the land we all depend on.

Medium roast for flavor

Our beans are roasted in small batches to a perfect medium — never too light, never too dark. This approach brings out the coffee’s natural aroma, body, and complexity, letting every origin speak for itself. Fun fact: coffee has over 800 natural flavor compounds! All you need is a refined palate and a curious nose to detect them.

Traceability & freshness

Muleba is more than just coffee — it’s a connection to home, heritage, and the ritual of slow living. Whether it’s your morning brew or a gift for someone abroad, each cup is meant to be savored and shared.
